Olivia Decaris Pouches, 2010 Pouch is a malleable carafe that enables the user to fill up his glass with beverages including water and wine by pulling and squeezing the teat. Inspired by the cow’s udder mechanism and symbolism Pouch proposes an innovative way to consume liquids.
Materials and process:
Food-grade liquid silicone rubber. Tasteless, sustainable and safe according to general health and safety rules. Heat and cold resistant. It could be stored in the fridge for cooling.
According to its shape and thickness, the object requires to be rotomoulded. The rotation moulding techniques makes it possible to obtain a very thin layer of material that will expand when filled up with liquid. The process also allows an ongoing production.
